Change over time gets a line
Lines carry direction and rate, which is what a trend question is actually asking. Each series is labelled at its end, so identity never rests on colour alone.
Drop in a spreadsheet export and get a trend line and a ranked comparison. Pick which columns mean what — the tool guesses first, and it is usually right.

Not a pie. Angle is the hardest encoding for people to compare and length is the easiest — ranked bars answer "which is biggest, and by how much" directly.
The series colours were checked against simulated colour vision deficiency rather than picked by eye. The worst pair separates well clear of the threshold.
The same charts come out of a matplotlib script in the automations collection, if you would rather generate them on a schedule.
